Welcome to Classical Guitar 101

I created Classical Guitar 101 as a youtube channel to help my students and anyone who wanted to learn to play classical guitar in 2019. Now I have created this website as another tool for anyone wanting to work on their guitar playing and musicianship. A little about me, my name is Michael Silva, and have been playing classical guitar for over 15 years. I teach music courses at Modesto Junior College and am the director of the Virtual Guitar Orchestra for the Sacramento Guitar Society. I received both my Bachelor's and Masters's Degree at California State University Sacramento. I enjoy teaching and performing music and in my free time, I enjoy playing my guitar, making videos, exercising, and being outdoors.
